Philip and Deb Duwel

Brooklyn born, a Navy brat, an Air Force career, college biology professor, and a photographer. Gallery based in Pawleys Island, SC, at the Lowcountry Art Gallery, he specializes in lowcountry coastal works to include not only scapes but also wildlife and iconic venues. His photographic interests encompass the fields of infra red and black & white imagery. To complete the artistic cycle, he prints his and others art and finds this aspect of photography equally as entertaining and demanding as the shoot. His art is found in the Rice Museum, Georgetown SC, at Seacoast Art Gallery, Market Common, Myrtle Beach SC, Greyman Art Gallery, Pawleys Island SC, Sunset River Art Gallery, Calabash NC, Art&Frame Shop(s), Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet, SC. Awards include first place, 2016 SC State Fair Professional Photography Division and second, 2015. His work has been featured in Alternative, Local Life, and Coast Life magazines.
