Yvette started her creative painting journey seven years ago, following an inner calling to create beautiful paintings for her home in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Little did she know, she would have such an emotion to explore color and texture through mix media, acrylic, oil and resin. Her work draws from the beauty of the natural world - florals in soft bloom, sweeping landscapes and ever changing light of the skies over water. Each piece is a reflection of the joy and calm found in nature. She loves to call her work, Happy Art!
As a self-taught artist, Yvette embraces the unfiltered flow of my emotions while painting. Every brushstroke is an intuitive expression within her. Her landscapes and floral pieces are a form of spontaneity and freedom to explore color and texture. Weather she is using acrylic or oil paint, she enjoys the layering process to create depth. She feels art is an act of embracing imperfections and the unpredictable. Her work is a reflection of my heart and soul.
