Spellbound: An Art Exhibition Inspired by Magic, Mystery, and the Marsh
Benefiting the Children's Recovery Center in partnership with Grand Strand Witches Night
CALL FOR ARTISTS
There is magic in the marsh.
In the moonlight reflected on the water. In ancient stories and coastal legends. In transformation, intuition, nature, mystery, imagination—and the things we can't always explain.
Artists are invited to explore that magic in SPELLBOUND, a multi-venue art exhibition presented in conjunction with Grand Strand Witches Night and benefiting the Children's Recovery Center [a 501(c)3].
The exhibition will be presented at 4 participating galleries and venues along Broadway Street in the Arts & Innovation District, culminating with the winners from each venue displayed at Lazy Gator in Murrells Inlet in celebration of the Grand Strand Witches Night.
Whether your interpretation is mysterious, whimsical, beautiful, powerful, mystical, coastal, fantastical—or just a little wicked—we invite you to create something that leaves us spellbound.
ENTRY INFORMATION
Entry Fee: $25 per artwork submitted
100% of the entry fees benefit the Children's Recovery Center [a 501(c)3].
Artwork Size
Artwork may be no larger than 24" x 24".
Eligibility
Artists of all styles and experience levels are encouraged to participate.
Original artwork in a variety of media is welcome, including painting, photography, mixed media, mosaic, fiber, collage and other visual art forms appropriate for gallery display.
All artwork should reflect or creatively interpret the overall SPELLBOUND theme.
IMPORTANT DATES
Artwork Delivery: September 13–18, 2026
Submitted artwork should be delivered to Vision Arts Gallery at 519 Broadway St, Myrtle Beach, SC. Gallery hours are Tues-Thurs: 11a-6p and Fri-Sat: 11a-7pm. The artwork will be distributed by Vision Arts Gallery to each of the artwork venues.
Spellbound Exhibition: Saturday, September 19, 2026 – Saturday, October 10, 2026
Artwork will be exhibited at participating venues along Broadway Street in the Arts & Innovation District. Participating venues will be announced soon.
Venue Winners Selected: October 10, 2026
Each participating exhibition venue will select ONE $100 winning artwork to advance to the final SPELLBOUND exhibition in Murrells Inlet.
Winners’ Exhibition at Lazy Gator in Murrells Inlet: October 12–17, 2026
Selected winning works from the participating venues will come together for a special exhibition at Lazy Gator in Murrells Inlet. One Grand Prize winner will be announced on Grand Strand Witches Night, Oct. 17, 2026.
Grand Strand Witches Night: October 17, 2026 | All Day | All Night
The celebration culminates with the Grand Strand Witches Night at the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk, bringing together art, community, creativity, and a little bit of magic for a wonderful cause.
