Jody kept on honing her skills and exploring trends every season and learning new techniques. In the late fall of 2023, she was asked to be the instructor and influencer on This Beaded Life on YouTube. The YouTube channel, This Beaded Life went from just under 30,000 subscribers to now in Spring of 2026 over 47,000 subscribers.
Jody started her company, String Theory Beads LLC in December 2025 and opened a shop on Etsy where she sells finished jewelry and jewelry making supplies to her customers. She has created and started selling her own Curated Monthly Collections for her customers to buy and create with. She sells out with in the first week of opening the sale.
Jody would like to see going forward, her jewelry collections to be in small boutiques throughout the United States. She believes in her products, she hand picks every bead, every metal piece and every design. She sources her gemstones from some of the best stone cutters, her glass beads by high end manufacturers and her Czech glass directly from the Czech Republic. She wants to ensure that people can enjoy her uniquely crafted jewelry anywhere.
Artist’s statement
I enjoy making unique and creative pieces to enhance anyone’s wardrobe and style. I source my materials from very reputable gem cutters and use them according to what I am trying to say with my jewelry. I choose my gems and glass beads by their personality, meaning color, cut, shape and size.
Bringing my pieces to life come organically to me. I visualize what I want to see in my mind and bring that out in the piece I made. I rarely lay out beads and then create. I believe one’s creativity naturally flows and it shouldn’t be forced.
In my most recent collections, I am focusing on the colors of nature, looking at flowers, trees, beaches and fields. There is so much beauty in nature and to be able to pull it into a necklace or bracelet is important to me.
Finally, I want my jewelry to bring happiness and joy to the person who wears it. I want it to be the first item you reach for after getting dressed. And mostly, I want you to love it as much as I loved making it.
