Philip and Deb Duwel

Artist’s bio

Although Phil and Deb photograph sports, urban scenes, and people, the bulk of their work centers on Lowcountry scenes, wildlife, and culture. Phil’s passion is capturing nature, be it the egret feeding its young or the sun splashing its last rays over a coastal backwater. Deb tends more to scenes showing Lowcountry culture.

Both are award winners at local and state levels. In 2016, Phil captured first and Deb second in the South Carolina State Fair Fine Art Professional Division (Photography). Their work has been featured on covers and in articles in such magazines as Coast Life, Local Life, Tidelands, and alternatives.

Their work is available at Vision Arts Gallery, Gallery 320, Seacoast Artists Gallery, and Waccamaw Art Gallery, in Myrtle Beach as well as the Rice Museum, Georgetown.

All works are giclee archival prints by Phil  on a variety of fine art papers to include cold press, watercolor, premium luster, metallic, and rag.  Canvas prints are on Epson Exhibition Canvas, their best. His largest print to date is a 72x44” work on canvas. Custom printing is done.
