Vision Arts Academy Summer Art Academy

Introduction to Drawing & Painting

A Creative Summer Experience for Young Artists

This summer, Vision Arts Academy invites young creatives to step into the world of drawing and painting through an immersive hands-on art camp designed to build confidence, creativity, and foundational artistic skills.

In this inspiring week-long academy, students will explore the timeless fundamentals of art using methods rooted in traditional atelier-style training while embracing the joyful, supportive atmosphere that Vision Arts Academy is known for. Through observation, imagination, and guided instruction, students will learn how artists truly “see” the world—discovering shape, form, light, color, and composition through daily creative projects.

Each day builds upon the next as students progress from drawing basic shapes and perspective to creating fully realized still-life drawings and paintings. Along the way, they’ll strengthen artistic confidence, sharpen observation skills, and develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life.

Students will explore:

  • Drawing basic forms and shapes

  • Perspective and spatial awareness

  • Light, shadow, and creating volume

  • Color theory and paint mixing

  • Still-life drawing and painting

  • Creative expression through observation

Every Friday, students will celebrate their accomplishments with a special gallery-style showcase and catered lunch for family and friends.

At Vision Arts Academy, we believe creativity grows through encouragement, exploration, and process—not perfection. Whether your child is just beginning or already loves to draw and paint, this academy offers a meaningful and inspiring creative experience.
